I yi-yi.
I'm not sure how well this bloggin will go. But the time has come. I'm back in Everett after hanging out in ABQ, NM for a while. A very chill place that put many things in a new perspective for me. Hopefully I'll go back and hang with some of the chill people I met. While I was there I was able to play drums with some blues folks and some psychobilly rockers. My days consisted of waking up in my adobe apartment, getting on the bike, hoping a few buses, getting on the bike again and then heading off to work at Trader Joe's. I did signs for them, I considered it an artist in residency.
It was fun because I got to listen to music all day and draw. My friend Allegra let me borrow her bike. A great mountain bike/road bike, the Ricochet. No flat tires, even with all the goat heads lying on the sidewalks. This is why they are called goat heads....

Yeah these suckers will cling to anything. Many dogs are coated with them. And everybody in NM has a dog. My favorite, blue healers.

I came home to help my mom out after she took a spill and broke her leg and sprained the other foot. So I am her Kathy Bates. It was perfect timing to come home because my lease was up and I was looking for a new direction. So I'm just home in Everett making sure ma heals properly and I'm cleaning out the garage, getting some paintings goin again. Part of me is still in NM because the creative juice down there is thriving and there are tons of rocks I wanna stone carve! I'll be back.

There is a cafe near Belen, Nm I discovered via Jennifer Jane; the folks down there running the cafe/pizza house were so warm and laid back. I'd take the train down and go on rock hunts with Cabin one of the collaborators there. We also had some good times playing some acoustic jams. That's him on the left. Rock on brotha.

Well, this is the beginning of the blog. I'm throw'n it out there. More words to come. Currently I'm catching up on my itunes and interweb.

I'll leave on this note...
